Alberts Velvetized Flat Knit RHT Stocking

If you walked into an Albert's hosiery store over 50 years ago, the first question you would ask is 'Do you have the Albert's Velvetized stocking?' This style named 'Velvetized' disappeared from circulation when the Alberts Hosiery stores closed over 50 years ago. This style is very high demand today. Made of 100% nylon, the flat knit weave imparts that nice sheen and very silky feel vintage stockings are known for! A beautifully sheer 15 denier reinforced heel and toe stocking with the full ink imprint on the welt. The lengths are generous (a full inch or two longer depending on size). The size 8 1/2 S is 32 inches! Size 10 long average 36 inches in length. Most of the extra long (in the larger sizes) are 38 inches long or more. (The size 10 1/2 XL Brown Drama are 38 to 39 inches in length). Color swatch coming soon. The size 11 1/2 XL in white are 40 inches long. The color has faded (after 50 years) and is closer to 'off white' than white. Here is an idea of the beige, tan and brown shades arranged lightest-to-darkest: breeze (beige), beigetone (light suntan), grey eve (grey taupe), mist (light brown taupe), puff (light brown), sparkle (suntan), glace mocha (dark coffee bean). Condition is mint (new old stck) carded with tissue. Note: Price will vary with size.
