Description
Tall Girl vintage stockings were popular in the 1960's when miniskirts were the rage. To assure the garters would not show below the hemline, "Tall Girl" stockings were made in much longer lengths (about an extra six inches longer). These were made by Albert's Hosiery (notice the RN26985 imprinted on the welt) and marketed under the brand 'Thrifties'. Many listed here have lengths up to 40 inches, These should fit the larger foot and truly long leg! We recommend an approximate length of 37 inches if you stand 5'9". Most of the toe and heel reinforcements are larger than normal. Sheer, non-stretch 15 denier micromesh all nylon leg has a matte, sheer appearance (not shiny as can be found with a 'flat knit' weave). Soft banlon stretch welt stretches for added length and width and can accommodate a wider leg. The 'Sundream' color is a light beige to almost nude color. The bottom two photos are of the 'Taupe' color.
