Flat Knit Black Seamed Sandalfoot Stocking Du Soir

This one pair is one of the most exquisite styles ever made in the highly desirable color 'Off Black'. The style name is 'Du Soir' by Roman Stripe. The word 'Du Soir' translate to 'evening' or 'at night' a reference we can apply to the sultry appearance of this beauty to be worn at a fancy function in the evening. The foot is not 'fully reinforced' as we call it but 'sandalfoot' meaning sheer to the eye. Beautiful rose and robins egg blue color ink on the welt. The black seam travels from the keyhole under the foot to the tip of the toe.  The 'piece de resistance' is the magnificent multicolored stripe at the top edge of the welt. Rather than a uniform single color, the colors 'alternate' and change in each thin stripe. It brings a new level of appreciation that it took to  manufacture this extraordinary feature. Based on the fine weave we estimate these are 60 gauge and 15 denier flat knit nylon. These will impart that sexy 'sheen' when worn that vintage stockings are known for.
