No Mend Green Stripe Self Seamed Stocking

Does your wardrobe have only BLACK seamed stockings? Perhaps there is an occasion where you want to ‘tone it down a notch’? Here is a true vintage stocking from No Mend that has a self seam. The backseam is not black but is almost the same color (or slightly darker) as the leg color. It is truly amazing the workmanship and detailing that went into this product from the very thin teal green stripe circling the welt (size 9 only) as well as the very fine lace woven above and below the green stripe. These are flat knit full fashioned nylons from the 1950’s in the USA. First quality, 51 gauge, 30 denier (walking sheer) that exhibit a softer, gentle sheen when worn. Size 10 1/2 (Ample) is a wider version which allows a better fit for the larger proportioned leg. The picture at right is the ‘Lady Slipper’ (suntan) color. The ‘Almond’ color is a brown taupe.
